Activity Days 2019

Our Annual Tradition!

Each year we hold our Activity Days towards the end of Summer Term to reward our pupils for all their hard work and achievements over the year. Our Activity Days give our pupils the opportunity to enjoy a range of specially chosen activities within the safe environment of school. We had a fantastic 2 days enjoying a wide range of different activities and most importantly – 2 days of non stop fun and laughter!

Thursday 11th July and Friday 12th July 2019

Animals About Town – We loved getting up close and meeting all the animals. They were all super friendly and loved all the attention! We even had our trees pruned for free by the worlds best behaved goats – bonus!
We had a lovely time with SensorySpaces who are a brilliant travelling multi-sensory resource. Jam packed with sensory storytelling, music and dressing up – all with a circus team that had the children thoroughly engaged!

Our secondary pupils had a blast on the BattleBus – a double decker bus kitted out with gaming consoles. A really unique experience and we had amazing feedback from our young people and they are all ready asking if we can do it again next year!

Kim’s class enjoyed a stadium tour of St. James Park,  before heading to visit Aydon Castle (their class castle) in the afternoon. They had a great day together

A fabulous show from the hilarious Tony Junior, it was a perfect way to end our first day! Tony created a real buzz with his comedy magic show and had everyone hooked from start to finish and there was non-stop laughter from the whole audience

Lots of fun together on the bouncy castle

Louise and Vicky’s class had a super morning of messy and sensory play with ARTVenturers  – lots of messy fun all with a circus theme

Trish and Dillon from Ashington Shotokan Karate club delivered some fantastic karate taster sessions for us. Our pupils and staff thoroughly enjoyed the experience

We got to meet some stunning and very clever birds of prey from North East Falconry Our pupils loved having the opportunity to handle and feed the birds.
