Next Steps for Castle School ….

11.6.20

We are all prepared and ready to welcome back more children next week as part of our phased re-opening. For those who have requested a part time place and had it confirmed, this information might help you begin to prepare your child for returning to school. We have also emailed and sent out a social story where appropriate.

In Castle School, ‘bubbles’ can mean something very specific to many of our pupils, so our small groups will be called ‘pods‘. Pods will create a safe and welcoming environment for our pupils.

Pod groups will stay together throughout the day so that we can keep everyone as safe as possible. We want pupils to feel secure in their pods, here is Dawn’s classroom poster which explains in a lovely simple way what it means to be in a pod.

The school environment and classrooms may look a little different to help everyone stay safe but it will still be a happy and positive environment.

As you can see, no tape but plenty of space for everybody ….

We have added some road markings to our corridors to keep us all moving in the right direction!

We have also taken the opportunity to declutter our libraries and reception area.

We will also be making use of our fantastic outdoor spaces ….

Thank you for your continued support as we move forward with our plans.

As ever, if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us either by email or on the usual school phone number.
