Please feel free to use some of the suggested timetabled home learning resources with your child/ children at home. I fully understand that not all of the suggestions may be suitable for you to access or complete. I just hope that they will be of some use during these uncertain times to help you create your own home learning ideas and for your child to engage with some familiar school timetabled tasks. There is no right or wrong order or way complete the daily tasks.

Literacy – To respond to name, words, gestures and visual clues

Look at the word mat as you read along. Can you find the correct toy/animal in the story?
Mark making cars. Attach a pen/pencil to your toy car, watch the marks appear on the paper. Use different colours to make different marks.

Numeracy – To develop awareness of shape, space, measure and numbers through play
Make a colour blue tray. Explore a variety of blue toys and objects from around your home

Topic – Play a turn turn taking game, which is your favourite game to play?
Colour in a monster on purple mash, can you log in and remember your passwords?
Explore a variety of toys that you have, can you push, pull, spin the toy?
Enjoy looking at the toys from the past photos.

Look at the toy display photos
Lower case alphabet letter matching activity. Can you match the coloured letters to the board? Can you name/point to the letter on request?
Numeracy – To develop awareness of shape, space, measure and numbers through play
Colour sort monster. Make some different coloured monsters out of paper or boxes. Can you post the correct colour objects to the correct monster? Can you name the colours?

Shape toilet roll. Make some shapes out of toilet rolls. Make a shape painting with them. Can you name and match the shapes?

PE – Independent movement and sensory experiences
Bounce on a trampette, gym ball, tunnel, ball games, jumping games, balance bean bags on head, bat and ball games, throwing objects into a box, skittles, roll up in a blanket, calming music.
PHSE – Play your favourite turn taking game.
My feelings monster. Can you make a happy/sad face on the monster just like the story.
Mood monster cards (print off 2 copies) can you cut out and match the different monsters? What colour are the monsters?
Emotion face cards. Make your own emotions face, print out, choose a forehead, eyes, nose, mouth and chin of your choice.

Sort old/new toys. Cut and sort the pictures onto the correct page. Print 2 copies of the old and new toy pictures. Can you match the picture to the correct board?

Make a paper plate monster. Can you name the shapes, colour or paint the monster blue.

Self Care – To develop independence
Sing along to the song and practice your self help skills as you go along. You will need a blanket/sheet, mirror, brush, spoon, some food to taste, toothbrush and paste, flannel, lip salve and hand cream. Complete the recording sheet in your pack.

Old toys cut outs. Print out and cut and stick to make a collage of toys.

Monster colours. Colour the different colour monsters with the correct colour. Can you name/point to the colour on request?
Photo colour sort. Can you match the photos to the correct coloured board?
Art – To explore and use different media and materials
Colour in a monster. Can you colour it blue like in the story?. Sing along to the monster song
Have fun playing with salt dough, make a monster with things you have around the home.

Feelings monster pencil control. Make some marks on the paper, can you trace over the patterns?

Relaxing/Sensory Activities – To relax and enjoy a hand/foot massage
The children enjoy this relaxing session in the week. We play calming music (relaxation fish as an example!) and get the foot-spas out for some massage. Some children like this session to engage in sand play or sensory choose with edible items such as jelly or cereal. It may just be a nice time to play together with toys of your child’s choice.
Additional Activity
Make some silky soft play dough.

Have fun exploring some blue moon sand.

MondayWorld Book Day is on Thursday, our story is ‘Aliens Love Underpants!’ |

- Print out the role play masks, can you act out the correct coloured alien from the story
- Complete the pencil control maze. Can you stay in the lines? Use different coloured pencils so that you can complete more than once.

- Print out the size ordering pictures. Choose your favourite underpants and see if you can order form little to big.
- Can you order your toys by size or colour?
- Space themed number formation booklet. Practice writing your numbers and see if you can count how many planets are at the bottom of the page.

- Make an alien spaceship from 2 paper plates and a plastic cup. Send me your photos of your creations.

- Print out the role play masks can you act out the correct colored alien from the story?
- Complete the pencil control worksheets. Practice staying on the lines and colour in the aliens and underpants.
- Print out the stick puppets, hide the pictures in rice/sand. Can you find the pictures and match them to the word mat?
Numeracy
- Design your own underpants (print out). What colour or patterns are you going to make on your underpants? Which one is your favourite?
- Space themed count and match puzzle, count the space pictures and match to the corresponding number. Can you point to the correct number on request?
PE – Independent movement and sensory experiences

- Play put the alien in the spaceship game (print out the alien cut outs and the spaceship) take turns to put an alien in the spaceship.
- Practice the routine of brushing your teeth. Print out the sequence Cards, can you order the 4 pictures?
- Follow the step by step instructions, follow the instructions and practice brushing your teeth.
