Pupils at Castle School were approached by Creative Arts North East to ask whether they would like to create some Armistice Day themed artwork to go on display in the window at the Co-op Ashington Funeral Care. Of course, our pupils were only too happy to accept the challenge and made a beautiful window display of poppies which have been well received by the public. Some of the Sixth Form students have even gone one step further and have been helping to sell poppies in and around school in the run-up to today’s celebrations.

“Staff from the Co-op Ashington Funeral Care are delighted with what your children made for their Armistice Day Window and they want to say a big thank you to everyone who helped. They’ve said that people have been stopping and looking and commenting on how nice the display is.”
