Red 1 and Red 2 had a wonderful morning at Whitehouse Farm, linked to their Science topic on animals, including humans. They enjoyed learning all about the different animals on the farm, especially the opportunity to feed the farm animals and hold the reptiles.
Last half term, Red 3 had a crime to solve after milkshake was taken from their classroom when no one was around. After careful investigations and hearing witness statements each student created a newspaper article to report their findings.
1/2 Students in our Formal Pathway have been working hard to restore the sensory garden, as part of their outdoor learning activities. They enjoyed digging out weeds, sweeping the paths, picking up litter, and discovering various mini beasts along the way.
2/2 At the end of the last half term, the students were excited to show Patrick all the progress they had made. Great teamwork! Well done, everyone!
At the end of last half term, the Pre-formal Pathway enjoyed an autumnal-themed stay and play session, where we welcomed parents to explore alongside our pupils. Pupils had the chance to engage with pumpkin-themed sensory activities and spent time with our music therapist.
Red 3 had a great outing to Alnwick Castle, following their history focus on castles. They followed "The Dragon's Quest", watched a performance and then explored the inside of the castle and outside grounds, including the cannons and the ramparts.
We have had some great Rebound Therapy sessions this half term! It is wonderful to see our pupils growing in confidence and making progress.
